WELCOME NOTE

Welcome to the 4th All Africa Religious Liberty Congress, lawyer’s symposium and Religious Liberty Festival. Welcome to the city of Arusha at the foot of mt Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa and its small sister mt. Meru. Welcome to the United republic of Tanzania a nation which has co-existed peacefully since independence. This year, AARLA is hosting 250 delegates which includes top leaders of faith-based organizations, government officials, top academicians, legal experts, human rights organizations and NGOs at the 4th quinquennial All Africa Religious Liberty Congress and the lawyer’s symposium. The festival of religious freedom on the 21st will host over 10,000 people to celebrate freedom of Religion in Tanzania and many countries in Africa Through this Continental Congress, symposium and festival, we hope to generate further regional meetings, National and Local meetings among various communities in Africa to enhance tolerance and peaceful co-existence in line with African Union Vision 2063: “An integrated, prosperous and peaceful Continent”; Aspiration 3: “An Africa of good governance, democracy, respect for human rights, justice and rule of law” AARLA believes these engagements will lead to peaceful co-existence in societies. It will reduce unnecessary conflicts and will build bridges for peaceful resolutions whenever conflicts happen because those involved have already known and interacted with each other during times of peace. We commit our vision and mission in the hands of the almighty God through whom alone this dream is possible
